There are several ways METRO riders can receive a FREE ride home!

 

→ Ride the Bus, Borrow a Book (July and August 2010 only)
     Children and Teens, ages 18 and younger, get a FREE ticket to ride on
     METRO and South Portland City Bus when you borrow a book from 
     participating public libraries in Portland, South Portland, Westbrook and Falmouth!
     (one ticket per visit)

    METRO accepts Park & Shop stickers from downtown merchants for a FREE ride home!

 METRO Bus & Buy

It’s easy. Bus riders pay regular fare, ask for a transfer, then visit participating business for Bus & Buy stamp and get a Free Ride Home! Businesses that participate in the METRO Bus & Buy program generate store traffic and retain repeat customers.

METRO is part of the PDD (Portland Downtown District) Park & Shop Program

For a free ride home on METRO, ask the bus operator for a transfer, visit a participating downtown merchant, ask for a Park & Shop stamp for the back of your transfer and enjoy a FREE ride home.

Emergency Ride Home Guarantee

Do you know about the Emergency Ride Home Guarantee?
Available FREE for commuters. For more information and to register: www.gomaine.org/emergency

This special benefit if for unforeseen work emergencies only, and it available to registered GO Maine commuters who use transit, carpools, vanpools or bicycle to get to work a minimum of two days per week. Use is limited to twice in any month or eight times per calendar year.
